Prof. Jim Burnell, Professor of Biochemistry and Molecular Biology at James Cook University has beaten more than 4,000 nominees to become Australia's Lecturer of the Year. The award, now in its fifth year, is an initiative of UniJobs.com.au, and aims to reward the efforts of diligent academic staff that have helped enrich the lives of students and work colleagues.
