About Lecturer Of The Year

The Unijobs Lecturer of the Year Award is continually moving from strength to strength.

Created in 2007, the award was initially designed as a way to award and commend the efforts of university teaching staff that have gone above and beyond in their efforts to better the lives of their students, and to better their campus community.

Do you have a favourite professor, lecturer or tutor? Nominate them here and they could win themselves a grand prize.

Last year's competition attracted more than 65,000 votes from every university in the country, and this year the stakes have been raised even higher.

UniJobs Director Jarrod Kanizay believes this overwhelming response speaks volumes about the admiration students and colleagues feel for the level of care on their campus.

"We found that faculties took great pride in having their staff nominated. Those who were shortlisted had their names put across faculty notice boards, and our phones were flooded with enquiries about those who were nominated" he said.

"It helped open dialogue between the faculties on campus, and more importantly it created new channels of conversation between similar faculties located at different universities".

To nominate, simply fill out your favourite lecturers details using the nomination form supplied.

Both staff and students can nominate, and to be eligible for the award you need to be employed as a member of the teaching staff at any university institution in Australia.
